Returning Star Jeremy Leggiero Is The Player of the Week

Posted Thursday, March 27, 2008 by Michael Konsevitch
Junior Jeremy Leggiero, last season's "Rookie of the Year", continues to be a great force in the weight room during this Off-Season. He is extremely dedicated to the team, works very hard, and is really standing out as a leader for next season. Since football ended, Jeremy has really been committed to our Off-Season Workout Program and has continued to improve his strength and increase his size. He looks like a player not many will want to run into on the battlefield.

Last season, Leggiero led the team in tackles with 87, and was second on the team with 11 tackles for loss. He was a force on the defensive side of the football earning All-Division First Team Honors. This upcoming season he will be looked upon to be a star on defense and offense. Voted as a Captain at the end of last season, he has not disappointed with his phenomenal work ethic and his terrific leadership qualities with his teammates and younger players in the program. He has displayed a great deal of unselfishness and continues to try to help the newer T-Birds that have been arriving in the Weight Room.

Currently, Jeremy is doing a fantastic job in his first year in the T-Bird's Track program. Displaying a tremendous amount of unselfishness, he has dedicated himself to getting a lot faster for this upcoming season by joining the Track team and he is doing a great job.

The future is extremely bright in T-Bird Nation! Jeremy Leggiero has been a real force and will be an integral part to the success of the T-Birds next season. Keep up the outstanding work, Jeremy, be proud of your achievements, but don't be satisfied! There is always room to make great, greater!
