Jeremy Leggiero, Alex Lorenzo, and James Tripodi are Players of the Week vs. Brentwood

Posted Tuesday, October 16, 2007 by Michael Konsevitch
Jeremy Leggiero had an outstanding game from his OLB position! Defensively, Jeremy was all over the place making 13 tackles, 6 solo, 1 Quarterback Sack, 2 Tackles for Losses, and broke up a pass play with a terrific hit. Leggiero played great and made some vicious hits on Brentwood. More importantly, he never gave up and fought to the end!

Alex Lorenzo had an amazing game from the Nose position. Lorenzo made 13 tackles, 10 solo, 3 tackles for loss. He was seen running all over the field with a tireless motor. He continues to have a terrific season for the T-Birds and fought to the last second on Saturday.

James Tripodi continues to put up some impressive numbers. Offensively, he rushed for 65 yards on 12 carries with some impressive runs vs. a tough D from Brentwood. Defensively he led the team with 14 tackles, 5 solo. He, too, provided some vicious hits on both sides of the ball. Tripodi, also, continues to be a terrific leader for the team.

The T-Birds suffered a tough loss vs. a great Brentwood team and must regroup for this Saturday's showdown with Sachem East. These three players provided a lot of positive for Saturday and if they play like that this week, good things will happen.
