Senior James Rowland has had a tremendous training camp. He worked very hard in the off-season getting ready for the season and this has continued in practices. A two-way starter, Rowland will be very beneficial to the T-Birds on both sides of the ball. On offense, his speed and moves will help keep the chains the moving. On defense, his terrific tackling skills and coverage ability will make the T-Birds a better all-around defense. Rowland has been very successful in both 4-way scrimmages, providing some outstanding runs and great tackling skills.

Junior John Smith continues to impress with his work ethic and his play on the field. Throughout training camp, Smith has been making an endless amount of plays and has provided a great attitude and toughness to the team. Smith will be a starter on defense as he has a great nose for the football, plays with a high motor, and is very tough. Offensively, he will provide depth to the O-line and might even push to become a starter. In both 4-way scrimmages he played extremely well and really stood out with the plays he made.

Congratulations to both players. Keep up the great work!
