Mike Cluen and Jeremy Leggiero are this week's Players of the Week

Posted Sunday, August 26, 2007 by Michael Konsevitch
Senior Mike Cluen has continued his impressive work during training camp. He had an outstanding off-season and has worked very hard this past week and a half. He has been a solid offensive lineman and great defensive lineman for the Thunderbirds. As a player who makes his name known in the trenches, he will make the offense and defense better. Mike has also been a fantastic leader and was chosen as one of the Captains on the 2007 team. Last year he had a great year as a two-way starter and will build on that as a two-way starter this season who will be a huge help in the success of this year's team.

Junior Jeremy Leggiero, also, has continued his outstanding work during training camp. He had a phenomenal off-season and continues to impress all of his coaches and teammates during camp. Leggiero will be pushing to be a two-way starter for the T-Birds and has made some impressive plays thus far in practices. He will be a mainstay in a solid linebacking crew and will be a player who gains a great deal of yards for the team. If he plays at the level he has been working at the team will benefit tremendously from Leggiero.

Congratulations to both players for their constant dedication and hard work to the team. Don't be satisfied, though. There is always room for improvement.
