James Rowland has been working real hard this offseason and has made outstanding strides in making himself a better football player. He is very dedicated to the offseason program and is a constant in the weight room. He is going to play a big role in the success of the T-Birds next year with his great athletic ability and terrific intelligence to the game of football. Rowland will be playing defensive back on defense, he will be running and catching the ball on offense, and may be returning kicks and punts. He should be a force in Suffolk County.

Sam Thornton is another constant in the weight room. He has been training real hard, making great growth, and is one of the strongest athletes in the room. This entire offseason he has trained real hard and is in the Top 3 of all the lifting categories. He is looking to be an anchor on the offensive and defensive line next year for the T-Birds. After a successful JV season, there is no holding Sam back. If he continues to work this hard, by August he will be a force in the trenches.

Freshman Mike Ponzio has been training real hard this offseason and is down in the weight room every day. He is getting bigger and stronger and is making himself a better football player. Last year was Mike's first year playing football and he did a very good job. With his work ethic, dedication, and attitude towards the team, he will be a terrific player for the next three years in the program.

Great job by all three players and all of the players who continue to get to the weight room consistently and train hard. Keep up the excellent work!
