Michael Cluen, Jon Sternbach, and Kevin McHale - Players of the Week

Posted Monday, January 15, 2007 by Michael Konsevitch
Michael Cluen is a returning starter for the T-Birds who, last year, had a great year. He was terrific starting on the offensive line and on defense at linebacker. He has been working extremely hard this off-season and continues to get much stronger and bigger. He is in the weight room everyday and has, also, been a top contributor during the "Lineman" and "Hands Club." Michael, an excellent leader, will be a force next season for the T-Birds on the offensive and defensive line. He may even see time at tight end and linebacker.

Jon Sternbach had an excellent season for the T-Birds playing a lot as a sophomore and eventually becoming a starter on defense. He continues to show great improvement in the weight room and has consistently been training hard this off-season. During "Hands Club" he is one of the best all-around athletes out there. He has great speed, hands, and runs terrific routes. Jon will be a tough junior next season for the T-Birds in Division I making plays offensively and defensively.

Kevin McHale was an outstanding player for our JV-9 team. He has really worked hard this off-season being in the Weight Room at all times. He, too, has been getting bigger and stronger and looks to be a future star for the T-Birds on the O-Line and D-Line. Currently a freshman, Kevin has three more seasons left to help the T-Birds in their quest for a Long Island Championship. For a younger player, he also displays a great focus and good leadership qualities.

Congratulations to all three players and keep up the phenomenal work!
