Leggiero steps in and plays big role in Lafayette shut out of Buknell

Posted Sunday, September 10, 2006 by Coach Hansen

Excerpt from article in local paper about game:
"The Leopards even lost starting inside linebacker Andy Romans to a hamstring pull in the first quarter. Freshman Mark Leggiero stepped in and didn't miss a beat. He made five tackles and was always around the ball.
"I had to step up with Andy getting hurt," Leggiero said. "I thought I had a decent game. All the credit has to go to (defensive coordinator) coach (John) Loose. He had everything mapped out for us. We had to do our assignments and contain them. It was a group effort."
The 2-0 Leopards, the last unbeaten team in the Patriot League, play their first home game in refurbished Fisher Field this Saturday against Penn. "
